Description
One of the characteristics of glass bead design during the Warring States period, with dragonfly eyes as the theme pattern design. This glass bead used royal blue as the overall background colour, and then used cadet blue and white to create a dragonfly-eye patterns. Combined with yellow and white and delineated into other patterns for embellishment.
This exceptional condition of this glass bead after thousands of years under the ground. The mineral residual that was clinging on the surface has totally peeled off and the bead has not been eroded and is still intact. Under the loupe can clearly see how the ancient glass craftsman put the pattern together seamlessly and with microdots were made raise up by control the time in the heat to give a different dimension and texture to the glass bead.
