Early Chinese eyebeads were exetremely simple, all have single dots for eyes, and they were very similar to those from Western Asia.
China only started making eyebeads with Chinese characteristics around the late Spring and Autumn or early Warring States Period.
Chinese eyebeads may be divided into four categories: composite eyebeads, latticed eyebeads, square eyebeads, and glazed pottery eyebeads.
