Dragonfly Eye Bead
Ancient glass is an important artificial material for tracing mutual cultural and technical exchanges between the East and West. During the Warring States Period in China, dragonfly-eye beads popular and closely associated with social, economic and cultural development at that time.
Early drafonfly-eye beads were extremely simple, all have single dots for eyes, and they were very similar to those from Western Asia.
China only started making dragonfly-eye beads with Chinese characteristics around the late Spring and Autumn or early Warring States Period.
Dragonfly-eye beads may be divided into four categories: composite dragonfly-eye beads, latticed dragonfly-eye beads, square dragonfly-eye beads, and glazed pottery dragonfly-eye beads.
